Very entertaining viewing and well done to all the videographers.
This will be a difficult choice for the GMA.
Looks great Kermit. I can’t wait to see it fly off water 🙂
Hello Kermit, I’m not offended at all. I love the banter that goes on here 🙂
Thank you Mr Moose. I am humbled.
I had a pretty good day and I have some footage from my on board Runcam camera from my C1 Chaser Wing and Ardupilot screen capture video.
The short clip shows me enabling autotune and flying pitch and roll maximums for the flight controller to set up the PID’s.
I then decended to an altitude of 6 metres and selected cruise mode which maintains the altiude while you fly around.
Also, thank you Kermit for the plane. This one looks interesting.
I’m looking forward to the next fly day that I can attend.

Thanks for the scoresheet Shorty and thanks to Predator for the upload. The PRO Stuart picked a great course for the challenging conditions and did a magnificent job at keeping an eye on the start line and calling out the contacts. Thanks Stuart.
Here is some hat cam footage of race 7 and race 8 which contains the second fountain incident and boat rescue.
Hmmmm…. There may not be any flying in the short term as there are rumours abound regarding an impending lock down. Premier making an announcement at 2:30 pm.
Well, happy birthday Mike.
I hope I get to see it’s first flight.
My other daughter and her husband are visiting from Bundaberg arriving tomorrow for 10 days so I have taken a bit of leave. Hopefully we will have some good wether and they are keen to come out flying and sailing while they are here. 🙂
Transcribed figures from the score sheet. Congragulations to:
1st Place – Graeme
2nd Place – Trouty
3rd Place – Stuart

Thank you Uncle G.
Sunday was going to be my painting day as I completed the Spitfire Saturday evening but couldn’t resist taking it out for it’s first fly Sunday.
If it didn’t work out, I wouldn’t have needed to paint it! 🙂
Congratulations Kermit on the Moose award. Very good compilation of video indeed 🙂
For anyone interested, here are some links to to the Spitfire review and build video including plans.
I found that using carbon paper to trace the plans onto the foamboard worked well and you can then reuse the plans when you need to rebuild 🙂Spitfire review (watch for the footage of someone loosing their motor pod because they didn’t secure it properly with the bbq skewers!)
Build videw with link to plans
Thanks for looking into it Mike.
We have passed that plane many times on our trips to Mathinna.
I have always wodered what the story was about it.
Thank you Uncle G. Much better than a wobbly hat cam video 👍
Race 1 hat cam video
Probably worse 🙁
