Nice, we were having a lot of them flying around Subic Bay but the Special Forces versions have now been grounded due transmission problems. They are noisy buggers so nice to have some quiet. Even the other versions still flying have 3 times the accident rate of normal planes and copters.

You need music for drone videos or even better some meaningful commentary! Looks flyable but let’s have a vote on who we think will end up in a tree first.

From Dec to May weather is perfect 98% of the time but now from June to Nov its rainy season with occasional typhoons but once a typhoon passes its nice for a while. Peak typhoon season is in October but Subic Bay hardly ever gets a direct hit, just the rain deluges. So I would guess June to Nov its 30% perfect and rainy the rest of the time.

Kermit I look forward to flying videos. Dont forget you flying property at Dunalley. Also Craigeborne Dam would be good for seaplane flying. And end of Opossum Bay is flyable. Also beaches at low tide make good runways and hills are good for chucking off gliders so no excuses for not flying.

Since no one else is flying here is footage from today. I loaned my DJI Mavic Mini to a professional pilot and he lost it so gave me money and I bought a Hubsan Zino Mini SE. Its better than the DJI and cheaper. Not as good as a DJI Mini 3 but they are 4 times the price. My boat was beached at high tide this morning as has a leaky shaft seal to replace at low tide later today. Its a fishing beach so hope to get BBQ seafood there tomorrow.

He was also spotted in a popular ladyboy bar here in Philippines but I was not there to take a pic.

And even if i was there I would not have taken a pic.

Put a big swivelling machine gun in the front and you could turn it into a semi scale WW1 biplane like a DH2

I flew from another resort this week and found a pond there suitable for boating complete with retrieval dinghy. Its also next door to the local Cockpit that is open every Tuesday.

Kermit if you would have taken the trouble to turn up and press record I would possibly have voted for you instead of Bumblebee. I just couldnt bring myself to voting for the duck hunter twice in a row even though it was the best video!

    1. It’s a Plank, not a Wing.

The toothpick hinges are brilliant and nowI expect everyone to have perfectly clean teeth next fly. Good to see Ron with 2 maidens and showing off doing rolls straight from a maiden takeoff. Also good to see Ricky flying. No video from me in Philippines as seems to be a lack of voting interest in boring drone footage here. We just had 5 days of rain with a nearby typhoon but back to hot and not much wind today.

Well done Gerald. But we need a discussion on what happens if its a 50/50 tie. Does the President then get the casting vote? This is the big issue in The Philippines at the moment.

Here is my drone footage from a wedding we went to this week. The vid starts at the drone start or you can scroll back and see wedding clips from my mobile:

Looks like a nice day for a fly. The Techpod video looks great at last. Also I like that Andrew’s Spitfire is flying nice at last. And I think Ron has the first tiperon plane at the field and it seemed to fly nicely. I have cast my vote but also I have my own video from 2 days ago with some drone footage at a nearby beach in 36 degrees midday heat.

Its stuttering like frame rate is too slow. I use 60fps for flight footage but I know youtube makes it look worse. Is your SD card fast enough for the camera?
