Definitely a fine looking “Aircraft Carrier” there Ricky.
At last you have found your true calling !!
Ah my little amphibious mate, if only it was that simple. then perhaps I could go to the field just to fly and you could solve everyone’s problems. 🙂
With regard to the Jumper T16 issues (reported above) when using Spektrum protocols, eagle eyed Gerald found the following post on the Team Black Sheep website.
Radio Firmware – Important!Â
Both the v2.2.3 and v2.3 versions of JumperTX available for download from the Jumper site support the internal Multiprotocol module, but both have a bug with DSM/Spektrum on the internal module only. The bug has been fixed in the source code but new builds have not been released by Jumper. If you use DSM/Spektrum receivers you must either: Download the latest JumperTX 2.2.3 source from Github and compile it yourself, or Flash the patched JumperTX firmware build (which was built from the Github source and first published here) If you do not do this you will have problems with DSM receivers – inability to bind and/or unstable controls. You have been warned! With that in mind I’ll go back to using the Taranis & the Spektrum radio till the recoded firmware is readily available.
In the meantime I’ll test the radio with Geralds (External) Multi Protocol module and see if its only the internal module at fault or the actual radio coding.
The Fox glider has been refitted with a FRSky X8R receiver and she is good to go again for our next Fly-In. Should have the replacement Bix 2 ready to go as well in the next day or two.
Another fine day @ the Duck by the sound of it. Well done on the reporting Mr Frog.
The only time there are no pics is when Kermit posts them, haven’t quite worked out what he does yet but its easy to fix (BUT NOT FROM THE HENTY RIVER – NO PHONE / INTERNET COVERAGE). Well actually there is one spot, right on top of the biggest sand dune but you need to stand on one leg & bare your butt to the moon to keep the connection working.
anyway all good now.
BA, I was looking for the pics of your great egg/sausage burger but it appears as if there are none.
There is always a first for everything, & the Frog is usually at the forefront. Interesting times 2020
Getting his Phantom up to 10,000ft for the glider launch could be a bit problematic though, but thin again the Frog has done stranger things.
I’m sure you will be Jammy.
Looks like a wild and woolly fun day was had by the crazy ones !!
Sounds like a fun day was had by all. I have been slaving away all day helping my son build a new deck. Hopefully make it back to the Duck next week.
Another quality production there Mr B.A.
Sure was a great day Ricky, and all the planes came home, that must almost be a first.
In all fairness to the Marine Modellers group there were still 2 on the water but I believe a few of the others suffered a few mechanical failures today.
I guess the change from 2019 to 2020 was just too much for their finely tuned scale models.
Anyway we had fun as always, here is a bit of video from onboard Rescue 17.
Kingy’s eh, I guess you were fishing out off the east coast then. We fished Frederick Henry yesterday and got a feed of size ones just but probably threw back 30 or more just over 300
