I thought I saw something glowing over on your side of the bay. it must have been your bright red face I could see?

I took the dog for a walk up to the top of the hill after flying was cancelled and noticed there wasn’t much wind about, so when I got back I decided to take the Mavic out.

It was around 11.30am and the wind died right out, even the river was calm, it started to pick up again around 2.00pm here.

    Well done Kermit!

Not only did you sail well, but also a great photographer!

If you hadn’t sat out of all those races taking these great videos you would have finished well up the list.

But did you fix the mode switch?

I was there with the oldies down the other end, must say one of the best days we’ve had for awhile.

Kermit was correct (for once), nice steady light breeze, sunshine and also the best high tide that we have had for awhile.

We had a great turnout of scale boats down our end. (no softies)

Yes, all thanks to Mike for his expert advice and being patient with another learner.

and of course Kermit for putting me though the “TOP GUN FLIGHT SCHOOL”?

    Thanks Kermit,

Yes there is a submarine down our end, fitted with special “GREEN” seeking torpedoes.

There is also a WW2 “E” Boat, a police boat, a customs boat and the US Coast Guard, so you better behave!

Yes we did have a couple of scale boats with sails up.

Well done Col, But you were lucky If I had removed the wet ballast from inside #02 before the last race I’m sure Phil would’ve held you off.

(Another high quality Joysway hull bites the dust!)

Well done gents, looks like a great place to lean how to fly!

All I need now is a few more lessons from Kermit.

This is what happens when you’re the best sailor,

Well done Col, one of the best sailing days at the Duck that we have had for some time.
