I had no issues but also no footage. It was a good day but thermals were very tight and lots of sink. Im away Sunday for a few weeks so Moose has volunteered to be acting Meteorological Officer Of Sandford Environs.

I was on wikipedia researching why frogs change sex. Seems a spray of insecticide is all you need.

Do you think its the timing thats wrong on the ESC? That would make it run hot and motor to run rough. You probably need timing set to Low for a big outrunner motor.

I had 2 flights in Chipmunks when 16 as an air cadet. Its the best handling plane ever; turned on rails. I would love to have a model Chipmunk (not Super Chipmunk).

From wikipedia ” Moose are solitary and do not live in families or herds.”

There is no plural for Moose, its not Mooses. There is no need for a plural. But at least they dont suddenly change their sex like frogs do.

As a headsup, Tuesday or Wednesday look OK wind wise with Wednesday being drier. I cant find the perpetual thread we had for this. Hope everyone is free those days…

There is money to be made in sheep poo! I already have an assistant weather office, being Predator. On a different note I just signed up to the Australian Electric Flight Association. Free to join, see https://www.aefanet.com/

I pranged my autogyro (flew too far away and got disorientated) and Tigermoth (sudden engine failure) so hope someone gets those bingles. Only one video from me from my Eagles and I went thru the smoke:

Are all FMS planes green? That Ranger looks nice. I just spent most today rebuilding my V Tail glider and its ready to fly. I looked at Ian’s VTOL plane but havent got motivated to fix that and looks too fragile to turn into a plane only. Lets hope we can fly on Tuesday and Moose put in the calendar already. Still waiting on a slow poke though…

Ive got my autogyro or gyrocopter ready. One of the two ESC was burnt out. May look at repairing the V Tail now we are in lockdown! Be a good time to build Flite Test foamboard models too.

Nothing in the calendar for Sunday so if u put in an entry then I will do one for Tuesday. I just asked my wife for a slow poke but she got the wrong idea!

Tuesday looks like the best option at moment! Bracing wire looks good!

in reply to: Durafly Slow Poke #9519

Shouldnt there be wing bracing wire? Looks like attachment points!

A very deserving winner though I would question how many sheep were traumatized in the making of the videos?

in reply to: Early Start Tuesday Fly-In #9504

Kermit asked me to not lodge any videos today and as he is my BFF I will oblige. My V tail balsa glider suffered a lot of damage. I think one of the V tails broke off in flight while I was circling tightly in a rough thermal. Anyway it plowed in vertically from 200 feet. Motor and battery need replacing and wing will need a substantial rebuild. Oh well, its over twenty years old so I got good mileage out of it, even the trophy for winning the Tas 7 Cell comp held near Lonny in the days when 7 Nicad cells were the power source.

So I may be after a new Rudder/Elevator thermal glider!

Kermit I have a carbon arrowshaft you can have. Cut to size with a hacksaw. I will txt u.
