Was a lot of fun today thanks guys. Yes, it’s all about having fun sailing with your mates first and foremost.
Congratulations on the place getters for the series and for everyone who came along and supported the series. Thanks to Jammy for his donation and to Shorty for doing an excellent job of running it.
Yes, all work finished at home and time now for some sailing with the mates once again.See you there!

8 March 2022 at 21:04 in reply to: Peter Smith DF65 Memorial Regatta 2022 – Puddleduck Vineyard #10548Thanks to all who attended and helped out on the day to make the Peter Smith Memorial a success again this year. Although I was unable to take part I am delighted to hear it all went off without a hitch as usual.
Thank you Ron, Stuart, Graeme, Sue, Mike and the team at Puddleduck who generously support this event every year.
Looking forward to joining you all on a more regular basis during this coming year.Caio
Yep was a bit interesting today, a mixed bag but enjoyable just the same. Big thanks to Sue for scoring and Ron for running the day.
A fine day out with my sailing friends. Most enjoyable and a good start to the year.
it’s great to be back.Sounds like fun. Bad scheduling and home duties took me away this time. Does Stuart sail a DF65 now?
‘Twas a fine day out @ da Duck today with mostly good sailing conditions. Special thanks to Sue for her stellar scoring and Ron for running the day and baking. Both excellent!
Yes Ron it was harrowing at times and frustrating at others. Not so much the wind strength, which was at times considerable, but it was the frequent violent changes of direction that put everyone to the test.
Mark five was deadly with a strong swirl coming off the verandah. If you made it through that the submerged pipe would grab any unwary keel passing by.
Yep, another fun day out @ da duck.
Thanks to Sue for scoring, Ron for organising and commiserations to those who turned up to sail but were not suitably equiped for the conditions and thus missed out.
Cheers! My first sail on Forcett today and have to say I am very impressed with the venue. The lakes size and lack of shoreside interference make it perfect for the one metres, a deep wide open freshwater lake with good access and parking right at the waters edge. Great atmosphere from the get go and the perfect conditions we had today made it champagne sailing at its best.
The drone shots taken by Uncle G are fantastic and showed the venue off perfectly. Well done.
Congratulations everyone on making it a great day out.
I’ll be back ….Twas wonderful to be out @ da duck again and also fantastic to welcome Jeremy Fish (“J” 225) into our little band of reprobates. Jeremy has been a member of RCToys for ages but disadvantaged by employment and unable to get the time off to join us.
Andrea joined us for the last time this week and once again sailed well. In a very short time she has gone from complete novice to competitive sailor and is showing a real aptitude for RC sailing. Come back soon Andrea!
Gerald, love the video thanks, especially the talking duck …. Nice touch.
Big thanks also to Sue for scoring and Ron for organising and running a top day @ da duck once again.Had a bit of a scheduling problem that interfered with my sailing this time round unfortunately. Life gets in the way sometimes doesn’t it? 🙄 ….. 12 skippers in the middle of winter is not bad going though. Start timer sounds great too Ron. Well done everyone.
Good work. ✔️
Can’t make it too easy for you! 😉
Most likely that has occurred because there was awarded a 10 seconds time penalty for first place and 5 for second due to the small number of competitors.
The Admiral began with a minute handicap, ending with 1m 30sec. Both Phil, Trouty and Stuart ended the day with 20 second handicaps. Fabulous sailing in perfect conditions and enjoyed by all.
