I just got home to Subic after a 3 week sail that included lots of snorkeling, drinking and eating but no drone footage as forgot to take it. Glad you had a nice flying day. I’m waiting on a radiomaster boxer so I can fly more here.
We had a Draco here flying on Saturday and you can see a brief glimpse of it getting ready to fly in my footage.
The guy flying the big red acrobatic plane at the beginning is a ex Israeli F16 pilot who now teaches military drones here in Philippines to the airforce . Looks like he needs a TGFC advanced flying course.
We just had a big RC day here yesterday called RC Congress Philippines. The guy flying the big red acrobatic plane at the beginning is a ex Israeli F16 pilot who now teaches military drones here in Philippines to the airforce . Looks like he needs a TGFC advanced flying course.
I also flew in Philippines here on Sunday. No footage of me flying but the other two guys with me flew combat with nitro Spitfires and thdn one flew his small biplane 3D style. There is a big RC fly in next Saturday so hope to get better footage then.
Flying inverted should be flown at least one mistaken input high unless you are Scott. I think TGFS needs to have an inverted class. Here in Philippines Sapphire flight academy or SFA flies upside down whilst also training 20 flight attendants in the back.
The Zero is fantastic and only comment is all zeros are green and not white.
Thanks for the info. I am Mode 1 and most TX’s here are Mode 2. Want to source here if I can.
Im thinking of getting a TX here to start flying in Philippines. Want a multi protocol TX with side sliders preferably that includes Spektrum DSM2/X and FRSky ACCST or whatever their old protocol is. I can buy a Radiomaster TX12. Any good? Any other options?
TGFS offers parachuting from a drone which is not on Sapphire’s curriculum but Sapphire trains Flight Attendants as well as pilots. Not sure that TGFS has a Flight Attendant school yet?
We did a 3.5 hour drive one way to Barradas Airstrip in Batangas Luzon Philippines. It was a windy day, over 20 kts and I was surprised at the good turnout. The oldest flyer at 86 was one of the best. All were good flyers, better than me and some great models. They pay young kids to help with starting their nitro planes and repairing them if they crash! Its an apprenticeship into full time maintenance careers.
No crashes this day apart from a couple of bent nosegear. Smooth grass bu the wind was challenging. One 3D plane came down hard and on my footage but was on long grass and no damage. One western guy (from Alaska) flying the rest all locals, many from Manila.
Ross, what a nice video tribute to our President who can never be replaced. Im still in Philippines and just posting a flying video to the last mid week thread.
Nice videos. I hope to visit a RC club here this weekend. It’s a 4 hour drive each way and I hope you saw my traffic video a few days ago in last weeks thread.
What are the white posts for and I hope you are flying through them. Looks doable with fpv. And I hope someone can turn Rians cinequad footage into nice video..
Nice videos and looks like Andrew will have a nice repair job to do. We traded in our Chevrolet for a Toyota Yaris as cheaper to run. Went straight to a curry restaurant after getting the car. It has a dash cam so here is some footage of the traffic here, nb date stamp is wrong as was a few days ago:
Nice videos. I just got back from a weeks tough sail in 25kt plus winds Subic – Puerto Galera – Subic. No videos and my phone mic is salty so calls muted and puffed my tablet battery (tablet used for navigation, anchor alarms etc) so harsh trip on electronics from salt spray.
Will review your footage soon. We just had a long day sail today. Fishing involved paying a couple of kids to arrange BBQ fish for us to collect from the beach. Now thats my idea of fishing!
Peak sailing season here in Philippines with regular 30kt trade winds. I swam at a nuclear power station!
