It seems that I missed an action packed day at the Duck. Was way too windy at my place to consider sailing, especially as my smallest sail is the standard A rig.

The Duck appears to have its own microclimate.

What a ripper day again at the Duck. It might be winter but the sailing was hot. Thanks to all for a great 10 races – well run and sailed in great spirit.

Certainly Kermit provided some wise counsel, however I am of the view that Duck luck was the most significant factor.

Great to be sailing the Canal again with the usual suspects.

Patrick undersells the fun attached to attacking the windward mark on Port tack!!

Great news Col. Count me in. I have really missed the fun at the Duck.

Thanks team. Batteries are now removed from hulls and charged. Strange to be charging batteries without a chance of going sailing.

Oops –  I use LiFe 6.6V batteries (from Hobby Warehouse) in the hulls not LiPo.

These are very strange times and a bit testing for some of us. I really look forward to the social contact of our group and miss it when I am unable to do the Tuesday thing at the Duck. The sailing is great but I think that some of us need the social interaction  – and I am certainly one of those.

It is great that you are keeping the flag flying Col and in a couple of weeks I hope I am up to having a sail out there as well. Meanwhile I intend to sail at the Canal on Saturdays just because it is physically easier for me there.

So looking forward to all this being over and once again enjoying the thrill of Pink Bits attacking the windward mark on Port tack and hearing you all scream abuse at me!!  Just love it.

Thank you for a great report Col. It certainly was another ripper day of racing, with lots of close finishes, and the occasional incident at the buoy roundings!! Duck luck played its part as usual – certainly helped me today.

I now await the real report from Kermit.

A really well run series that was a lot of fun. To have a dedicated media resource is a real bonus. A huge thank you to the officials, the owners and management of the Duck, and to all sailors that turned up and allowed us to have such enjoyable racing.

What a fickle wind we faced today. Duck luck once again assisted some of us and nobbled others. All handled in great humour. What a great place to sail and a great group of sailors.

Great report and superb videos. Tuesdays are rippers!

Another great day at the Duck. A few laughs and some close racing amongst all the sailors. The fleet is now very close in speed and wins are hard fought.

Thanks to Col and Kermit for reporting on the fun.

I look forward to reading Kermit’s report as to what actually did happen in the racing today.
