New switch fitted, as well as new transmitter and receiver. It all works (at this stage!!). Thanks for the advice team.
Interestingly the servo tray in my version 6 is approx. 10mm higher than the tray in the version 5. I guess we need to drain the version 5 hull more frequently to keep the moisture away from the electrics.
Thanks Mike and Kermit. It appears that the switch is guilty!!! Will order a few bits and pieces from HWH.
Great report and photos guys. It was a ripper day and the pink one had more than his share of “Duck luck”.
Thanks to all participants for some superb racing.
Great report Col. Looks like I missed another ripper day.
Great report and photos – thanks Col.
It was a ripper day at the Duck, and the conditions gave everyone a chance. I hope we all have an enjoyable and safe festive season.
Special thanks to the owners of the Duck, to Col for organising and reporting the racing, and Mike and Kermit (and others) for documenting the fun.
I am not sure the photos show how tough it must have been at times at the ‘Duck today. Sorry I missed it, but then again a B rig is my smallest.
Thanks for the report and the photos, not as good as being there but it all helps!!
The frog is in his element – well done Kermit.
Duck luck was the key factor – makes you look fast (or slow)!!
Thanks for a great day of fun close racing.
My fellow sailors, the results seem to be the focus and not the amount of fun we had yesterday sailing in the typical ‘Duck conditions. In the interest of harmony I will return my silver medal and accept that a skipper who missed one race, was on the fountain for most of another race, and had to have a re-start/re-launch in another race as he was caught in the weeds behind the starting line is unlikely to get a podium finish in our fleet. However I had a great time racing yesterday and hope that all other skippers did too. It is hard to leave the ‘Duck without a smile on your face.
As to Kermit’s issue – suck it up pal, you are sailing fast and making good decisions. Your spot is very much at risk.
Accurate report and great photos – thanks Kermit.
It was another great day at the Duck. Most of the time we had enough wind, but not always from the direction we wanted. The last race was blown out, but fortunately the boats escaped damage. As is usual at the Duck, once we stopped the racing and had coffee the ideal conditions returned to the pond!!
Great photos Mike – thank you!
Gerald, a roll or two of duct tape may help!!
Another great day of sailing the Canal. Thanks for the photos and report Kermit – at least the photos are accurate!!
